DJT and TAE

Trump puts a big spotlight on clean fusion power

Trump’s media company, Truth Social, operated by Trump Media & Technology Group (TMTG, ticker: DJT), a publicly traded company, just reached a deal with one of the two a-neutronic fusion companies in the world developing clean energy. A-neutronic means that the fusion reaction which produces electrical energy doesn’t generate harmful neutrons as a by-product. Neutrons are a source of harmful radiation.  The Tri Alpha Energy fusion reactor uses magnetically contained fusion reactions that generate no harmful CO2 or pollutants.

A-neutronic fusion uses plasmas. A plasma is the fourth state of matter: solid, liquid, gas, plasma. Plasmas are composed of charged particles, ions and electrons. The sun is itself a fusion reactor.

Advantages of fusion power over conventional power plants

An atom contains protons and neutrons in the nucleus, and electrons surrounding the nucleus. Electrons are negatively charged, protons are positively charged. When electrons are stripped from the atoms in a plasma, the atoms become positively charged ions and the electrons stay negatively charged. In a process called field-reverse-configuration, TAE causes a plasma to self-organize and generate its own magnetic field, which contains the fusion reaction that generates energy. When charged particles – positively charged ions and negatively charged electrons – move within a magnetic field, an electric field is created. Power can thus be drawn directly from the spinning plasma. This is much more efficient than a nuclear reactor, for example, which generates steam that turns a turbine. Steam power is 18th century technology.

The advantage of using fusion to generate electricity over conventional power generation is increased efficiency and elimination of the pollution factor.

Magnetically confined plasma is a far superior method than hot-fusion tokamaks, which have not been able to generate enough useful power without melting down the reactor shell. Moreover, power from plasma reactions avoids (a) the use of pipelines (that can be sabotaged) to deliver precious natural resources, (b) the exploitation of oil and natural gas deposits, and (c) depletion of mineral deposits necessary to make solar panels and wind turbines. All of the above  are sources of war. Wherever there is a pipeline or a mineral deposit there’s a potential conflict.

Unlike a nuclear reactor, a fusion reactor can generate power efficiently and with little wasted heat. Oil, coal, and natural gas plants are less efficient and more polluting than a magnetically confined fusion power generator.

TAE uses plasmas to generate power. A plasma can be created in a laboratory. Of course natural resources must be used to build the reactors, but once the plant is built no fuel is required for power generation. Using plasmas, carbon emissions will be a thing of the past. Fusion reactor power plants will solve the man-made portion of the climate change problem.

Trump and TAE

Trump’s group partnership with TAE promotes clean, efficient fusion power and gives it a very significant spotlight. It’s a technological leap from the primitive energy generation plants of the past that deplete the earth’s natural resources.

My guess is that Trump haters will now be against clean fusion energy, for it removes the issues that are vital to their political platforms: climate change, pollution, and Green energy. “It’s just like Trump to let a private company spend their money and do all the hard work, then swoop in and reap the profits.” Maybe, but I don’t care how clean energy gets done, as long as it gets done. Our energy and chemical industries are polluting air, land, and water with PFAs and other toxic substances harmful to life.

Say what you want about Trump, he knows business and he doesn’t bet big money on long shots. To see for yourself, take a tour of the Tri Alpha Energy facility (thanks to Ashton Forbes for finding this vid):

The deal between TAE and TTMG is valued at more than $6 billion, structured as a merger of equals where shareholders of each company would own approximately 50% of the combined entity upon closing (expected mid-2026, pending approvals). This isn’t a cash acquisition where TMTG “pays” a specific amount to buy TAE outright. Instead, it’s an exchange of shares, with TMTG providing access to public markets and up to $300 million in funding support to TAE post-merger. The combined company would include Truth Social alongside TAE’s fusion energy operations, positioning it as one of the first publicly traded fusion companies. No cash payment for acquiring Tri Alpha Energy/TAE is reported at the time of this writing; the transaction is all-stock with no direct purchase price paid in cash. TAE remains private until the merger closes.

Anyone with an e-Trade account or a stock broker can invest in the new company, which trades on the ticker as DJT.

NOTE

As exciting as clean energy from nuclear fusion is, it is still not energy from the zero-point energy field. Nikola Tesla, over a hundred years ago, was working on tapping into this energy using high voltage, pulsed electrical currents at various resonance frequencies.

Even so, fusion power is a lot better than nuclear power, which generates steam to turn a rotor, and causes the massive pollution problem of spent nuclear fuel rods. It’s better than the inefficient windmills that are estimated to kill between 140,000 and 1.2 million birds annually in the United States every year, or inefficient (30% solar energy conversion) solar panels. Plasmas can be made self-organizing and self-sustaining, unlike energy from the sun, which doesn’t shine for half the day, or wind that blows intermittently. The TAE reactor reaches energy efficiencies (Beta values) over 90%.

Moreover, the vast majority of “Green” energy products – solar panels and the 80-foot-long blades of primitive windmills – are made by workers in the Peoples Republic of China. How does that benefit American workers? It doesn’t; but it’s great for the multibillionaires who sold out the United States and moved U.S. industries to China.

Trump is right about one thing: It’s OK for American companies to invest in projects that benefit American consumers and hire a few American workers.

I’m excited about the potential for clean energy from fusion power plants. It’s a step on the way toward fulfilling Tesla’s dream of a world with unlimited, clean energy for every human being on earth.
