Politics

Throughout history, enlightened persons have been striving for the perfect system of government, where all can achieve freedom and prosperity. Political structures have taken many forms, from an enlightened king or absolute ruler all the way down to anarchy. But none of these systems has been successful for very long, because political systems are dependent on resources and their distribution. That is, political systems fail because there is never enough energy, food, or material goods to satisfy everyone. People are always fighting over who gets what. Historically and modernly, that results in an elite that hoards resources to themselves, and the masses who struggle along as best they can. Then the crap really hits the fan.

Politics

A citizenry always gets the government that is a perfect vibrational match to their national consciousness. A nation of people who resonate to freedom cannot and will not have a dictatorial government, and vice versa.

Political organizations and societies are not immune to the operation of the Law of Attraction, nor can governmental edicts negate it. A corrupt government can issue orders about banning gas stoves because of “climate change,” for example, but how many citizens will comply with insanity like that?

One of the most vexed political questions is how to design a system that treats everyone fairly, given limited resources. In some states, reparations for black citizens because of slavery is an important issue. In California, the legislature is budgeting money for this, despite widely held objections. The idea behind reparations is that a person born into the midst of terrible poverty because of institutional racism doesn’t have a very good chance for a joyful life, and so political redress is required.

This is the bedrock argument used by those who promote the politics of redressing injustice in many areas of life. The idea is that there will always be injustice in society because some are born wealthy and the majority are born poor.

A practical solution is, obviously, technological advancement that gives us unlimited, free energy. This would allow everyone to have a high standard of living without using scarce and polluting fossil fuels, or undependable and intermittent solar and wind energy. (One might ask, why has there not been a national pure science research program to develop applications of frontier physics concepts? Why, because those who own chemical and oil plants, and natural gas facilities, don’t want it, and these special interests bribe our legislators with campaign donations.)

The free energy solution is a long-term one, however, so what do we do in the meantime?

These essays look to the metaphysical for first cause answers. Here I am operating from a blog post called “The Earth’s Spiritual System.”

A human being is an immortal soul incarnated into a physical body. So how does a spirit incarnate into the body? Is there is a drill sergeant in the between-lives area, taking names, kicking asses, and shoving spiritual beings into bodies? “Hey look, there’s a baby coming out of the womb in China. Get your ass in there!!”

Nah. Not buying it.

Politics and Consciousness

Incarnation must always be a conscious choice: your conscious choice. Nobody makes you come into a body. You can’t use physical force on a spirit! So nobody gets to claim victim status. “I didn’t choose to be here, I was born here. Not my fault.” Uh uh. That argument only makes sense to those who believe that consciousness comes from meat.

Suffice it to say that you made a conscious choice to be born. You came in knowing who your parents were, and the socioeconomic environment. Yeah, you were born as a physically helpless infant. But you knew yourself as a fully empowered being.

Why Come to Earth if it's So Great Up There?

If everything is so wonderful in the non-physical plane, why would anyone want to be born into the middle of a war zone? Or in the midst of terrible poverty? Or come to earth at all?

I don’t know, but I think it has something to do with the intensity of the physical experience (why do people ski 100 mph down dangerous mountains?). It’s like a woman who gives birth. A very painful (and long) process sometimes, but when it’s all over and mom is looking into this newborn soul’s eyes, she thinks: ‘I can’t wait to do it again.’

Same with the guy on the roller coaster ride. He's scared out of his mind the whole time but all of his senses are acutely heightened.

In the broader non-physical state, there is always a feeling of joy, and maybe it gets boring after a while. As a non-physical being you can see everything that happens on earth. You’re looking down at 8 billion people having adventures, having fun, learning painful lessons, fighting each other in wars, playing beautiful music and making beautiful art... and you think, “I want to be part of this insanity!”

Earth is a leading edge experience. It’s different. It’s where the action is. There is a heightened tension and intensity of feeling when you are in a body and don’t know what will happen after you die. It’s playing the game of life for keeps, unlike the games you play as a spirit: you know all the time there’s no such thing as death, and that all endings are happy endings.

Maybe that gets boring after a while.

The Beauty of Earth

Not convinced yet? It might seem completely irrational to leave the joyful nonphysical plane and deliberately choose to come to a hellhole like earth. But you don’t see the earth as a hellhole, you see how beautiful it is. Earth is a beautiful planet, one of the wonders of the galaxy, and you couldn't wait to get here. You wanted to experience this amazing planet.

Different Intentions for Being Here

Let’s remove some of our biases. “Oh look at that poor child being born in that little third world village! Oh the poor thing!”

Wait a minute.

Those who are born into a poor village on the other side of the world may look in horror at the society we are born into in the United States, with its violence, drugs, and soulless technology. It’s always different on the other side of the fence. Attitudes are different in other societies and cultures, and who are we to say that anyone is living a life that is “less than” the one we are living? Most people in this society are overworked, underpaid, stressed, and worrying a lot of the time. What sort of life is that?

We cannot know the reason another being decided to come to earth. We must grant them the same status as we would ourselves: that of an independent being who is making the most joyful life possible..

And who knows, maybe some of us came here to be miserable. Just for a change of pace. It sure seems that way sometimes doesn't it?

The ultimate answer to political questions of fairness, injustice, unequal income distribution, poverty, etc. should be based on universal principles. Individual lives are not dependent upon what law Congress passes, who declares war on whom, what new social program is in the works, or who gets elected to the local city council. If martial law is declared and the constitution is suspended you can either shoot the oppressors, or wave your hand cheerfully at the armed soldier at the checkpoint. Your personal experiences do not have to reflect the national consciousness. You are fully empowered by the laws of the universe to create a positive reality for yourself. And if you fail, well, all endings are happy endings. Physical life is only temporary.

Conclusion

It should be obvious after 6,000 years of conflict and war, that fighting the bad guys will only lead to a persistence of the vicious cycle. We win this time but the other side gets motivated to overthrow you. Then you lose and want to get back at THEM.

For fuck’s sake, somebody grow up! Somebody has to be the adult in the room and say, “OK, I think you are an asshole but I’m not going to pick up my weapon today. Today I’m not going to fight you. I will find joy wherever I can and inspire others to stop beating each other up.”

Breaking the cycle of conflict requires courage and non-compliance with totalitarian, dark agendas.

It’s hard.

Maybe someday it will happen.
