Current events roundup
The United States is in the middle of a Color Revolution. For decades our CIA and State Department felt no qualms about overthrowing governments we didn’t like. From Mossadegh in 1953 Iran, to Iraq and Afghanistan half a century later, the wealthy and powerful have been gettin bizzy. Now that karma is coming back to us as our own country is being attacked from multiple sources around the world, and from within.
In my opinion, the entire Democrat Party, and most of the Republicans, are wholly-owned subsidiaries of the corporate-controlled State. Some people call this fascism: an authoritarian government backed by corporate money. Both parties are complicit.
We all know about Trump’s activities. His press is close to 100% negative and it’s been that way for years. But we never hear anything from the mainstream press (except from the idiots on FOX) about Democrats, who talk a lot about “democracy” but act equally as authoritarian as Trump.
In Minnesota, Democrats have used the Somali population (estimated at 80K to 84K by the U.S. Census Bureau’s American Community Survey for 2024) as a scapegoat to commit $20 billion in Medicaid fraud. Into what rabbit hole has that money gone? Acting in the guise of defending Somalis, Minnesota politicians cynically pretend to defend the community while allowing them to be blamed for the entire mess.
In California, Democrats are much more up-front about their government grifting and fraud. Alex Berenson reports (Jan 28th) that “California spent the Biden years enrolling illegal migrants into its Medicaid program without any eligibility restrictions except income. Through the state’s Medi-Cal program, Americans now pay almost $10 billion a year to cover healthcare for 1.6 million people who aren’t even legally in California.”
I wonder how many illegals in Cali have signed up to vote?
Let’s say the quiet part out loud: Eight to ten million illegal migrants were brought into this country by the last administration in order to create a huge Democrat voting block. And they are using federal entitlement programs like Medicaid to pay off their new voting base.
Needless to say, fraud and election tampering are antisocial activities.
We may see the results later this year if Democrats clean up and take control of both House and Senate.
Almost all Republicans are non-entities, except maybe Congressman Massie. Trump is almost the only person in that party with any balls. Republicans are cardboard cutouts who have gradually ceded political power to the Democrats, and the Dems have naturally taken it.
A great example of congressional Republican cowardice is the new election transparency bill unveiled by House Republicans on January 29th. It’s called, childishly, the MEGA Act (Make Elections Great Again). The proposal would establish nationwide standards for federal elections, including voter identification requirements, citizenship verification measures, changes to mail-in voting rules, and restrictions on ballot harvesting. Trump voters are all for this but guess what: these provisions don’t go into effect until 2027, after the midterm elections!
Congressional Republicans are wimps.
When the Congressional subpoena of Bill and Hillary Clinton was announced on August 5, 2025, the Republicans made sure that it got promoted for a couple of days. The result after that? Nothing. It was all for show. Remember when Congressional Democrats subpoenaed Trump allies Steve Bannon and Peter Navarro? The Dems shouted “No one is above the law!” and made sure those two showed up and were put in prison. That’s power projection.
If the Dems win the House and Senate in 2026, we will see some more power projection in 2027.
Illegal immigration funds the psychotic Mexican drug cartels
BTW, Trump voters are all in favor of deporting illegals, for a very important reason. They understand that you don’t get illegally into the US without paying the vicious drug cartels. Estimates indicate 80–95% of unauthorized crossers use cartel controlled smugglers, per surveys like the Mexican Migration Project and DHS data. Smuggling fees are around $11,000–$12,000 per illegal migrant in Central America, an outrageous sum for a poor migrant from a Third World country.
Grok lists the following cartel smuggling fees:
“Fees Range: Mexican nationals: Often $3,000–$12,000 (e.g., $4,000–$9,000 foot/boat).
Central Americans: $7,000–$17,000 or more.
Others (e.g., Chinese): Up to $45,000–$75,000.
Recent hikes (2024–2025): Up to $18,000–$30,000 due to tighter security and fewer crossings, per Texas DPS and reports.
Cartel Involvement: Cartels control most routes and profit billions (e.g., $13 billion in 2021 estimates from DHS and InSight Crime), often via taxes on smugglers or direct smuggling. Payments fuel other crimes like drug/human trafficking.”
There you have it. Illegal immigration funds the drug cartels, the most viscous gangs of human traffickers, child rapers, weapons and drug smugglers, that are inundating American cities with their drugs and guns. You want to know why there is so much violence in our American cities? Look no further than the drug cartels.
Moreover, during Biden’s term, “agents at the Southwest border were under orders not to arrest smugglers ferrying migrants entering the United States illegally. Given this, the Biden administration effectively ceded control over immigration policy to those smugglers – or more precisely to Mexico’s criminal cartels.”
One good thing Trump did was to close off this massive wave of illegals, which in turn closed off a large chuck of money to the criminal psychopath cartels.
Does Trump have a problem with his base?
Of course the party in power always loses seats in the off-year elections, but Trump is doing a good job of alienating the base of voters who elected him, perhaps unintentionally.
1) Adoption of new rules concerning 5G cell towers. Notice of Proposed Rulemaking (NPRM) titled “Build America: Eliminating Barriers to Wireless Deployments” (WT Docket No. 25-276, FCC 25-67), adopted by the FCC on September 30, 2025.
These proposed rules would allow telecom companies to put up 5G towers anywhere they want: even next to schools and in neighborhoods. Trump voters didn’t vote for this.
2) Trump is promoting AI intensely to “win the AI race” with China (whatever that means). People who voted for Trump note that the CCP slave/surveillance state was built by U.S. and Western technology and tech companies. They wonder what that means for the US.
3) He’s going to build lots of AI data centers, potentially raising electricity prices for anyone who voted for him. Whether tech companies will be forced to build new power plants is not the issue: AI was NOT a big item with Trump voters in 2024.
4) He’s using GenAI.mil to sign up a boatload of new contractors and gen up the military using AI deployment. The Trump base wonders what that is all about, because starting new wars was not on their voting agenda either.
5) At the same time, ICE in Minnesota is doing everything possible to piss off potential Democrat crossover voters across the country.
The November mid-term elections
If the Trump base doesn’t show up in November it will lead to a big Blue wave.
Yet another impeachment of Trump will occur (this time successful, as Dems will control House and Senate), along with the packing of the Supreme Court. Democratic Party advisor James Carville has already said both are on the party’s agenda come next January. With SCOTUS packed with political activist judges, the last remaining Constitutional check and balance to total Democrat power and a one-party state, will vanish. The next Democrat president will then essentially be a dictator with no opposition: the equivalent of Vladimir Putin in Russia.
If the Dems have their way, European Union style censorship on all speech will come here to the US, continuing the effort the Dems made during Biden’s term to force social media outlets to condemn “incorrect” speech (the terms “misinformation” and “disinformation” were used).
A foreshadowing of what we will likely see after a Blue midterm election sweep occurred in Chicago on January 26th, where a physical education teacher was placed on administrative leave and possible termination after posting two words on Facebook: Go ICE. Local leaders and groups are demanding that he be fired.
This guy is a GYM TEACHER for God’s sake! Apparently, no breath of disagreement must sully the socialist Narrative in Chicago.
In a one-party Blue world, the distinction between democracy and dictatorship will have been erased, under the banner of “banning hate speech.” Hate speech is, of course, whatever the party in power says it is.
On the other hand, Democrats say that Trump is already well on his way to a Trump Dictatorship. I think this is funny, given his low popularity.
I say this not without a little admiration for the Democrats. Despite the utter bankruptcy of their policies, which are and have been since 2016 a childish “If Trump wants it we do the opposite,” they have managed to gain the upper hand. As of Jan 27, 2026, Trump’s approval rating is 14 points lower than his disapproval rating, according to a New York Times summary of several polls.
When the Democrats get power, they like to hold onto it. For example, 90–95% of the Federal bureaucracy are already Democrats, because Dems like to serve in government. And because Barack Obama created the Senior Executive Service, appointing party hacks to hold senior positions of control in the federal bureaucracy. Thus is the Federal workforce of the Executive Branch already aligned in one direction.
In our major universities, the percentage of faculty is overwhelmingly Democrat.
Teachers unions and “public service” unions (government bureaucrats at the federal and state level) are almost 100% Democrat.
The Democrats have largely succeeded, as socialist student activist Rudi Dutschke said in the 1960s, in their “Long March through the institutions.”
Why is Trump promoting AI so heavily?
I think I now understand why Trump is heavily promoting AI. I’m relating this from what I think is Trump’s point of view.
In the first place, promoting AI to “win the AI race with China” is typical Trump trolling. However, he is reminding China that any progress that has been made by the CCP comes from US and Western invention and innovation. That is an undeniable fact. In 1980, China was a backward Third World country. Forty short years later, after U.S. help, China was the world’s second largest economy.
Secondly, he’s telling China that the US is going to wipe the floor with them using AI.
During his first term Trump saw the incredible corruption in DC. He learned he could do nothing about it by (trying to) fire incompetent bureaucrats or using the DOJ and the courts to charge people. He saw how Biden’s AG, Merrick Garland, had little political success targeting Trump supporters for Jan 6, 2021. That stupidity contributed, I believe, to the Republican sweep in 2024.
When Trump and Musk set up DOGE (Department of Government Efficiency) in early 2025 it identified approximately $4.7 trillion in Treasury payments that were missing a critical identification code called the Treasury Account Symbol (TAS). This code links payments to specific budget line items or accounts, enabling traceability. DOGE discovered that the TAS field was optional for these payments and was often left blank, making it “almost impossible” to trace where the money went.
There are words for this: GRIFTING and SCAMMING.
Imagine spending $4.7 trillion dollar s with no accounting!
When Trump looked at the bloated military procurement process he was appalled. New equipment took years to get built (or not at all) because of crazy cost overruns due to an overstuffed DoD military bureaucracy and lazy defense contractors who stuff their pockets with stock buyback cash.
Trump knew he had to do an end run around the out-of-control federal spending process and the stifling military bureaucracy, so he seized on a whole-of-government approach: Artificial Intelligence. Trump is simply by-passing the arterially clogged civilian and military bureaucracies (the “system”) and insisting that AI make the decisions.
The bureaucracy stays in place, government workers still get their checks, but it is made largely irrelevant.
I have no idea whether this will work, but it’s a brilliant idea from Trump’s point of view.
One thing is for sure: this government is bankrupt using the old system, and it is almost over the financial cliff now. So – out with the old, in with the new.
The problem for Trump is that large sectors of his base don’t understand this. Some see the use of AI everywhere in government as an extension of Global Governance. Some wonder whether Trump is just another Globalist, helping to create a worldwide techno-fascist surveillance state like China right here in the United States.
Trump needs to clarify to his base why he is betting on AI or the Dems will clean up in November.
Trump: Dictator or White Knight?
It is not my intention to blackpill you, dear reader. I still believe that it’s going to turn out all right. Who knows, Trump’s AI play may work to salvage the government’s finances and reduce spending and corruption. If the Dems are right he’s just another Globalist tool, but I think he will turn out to be a White Knight in the end. That’s my hope anyway. (It’s better than the angry, hateful, spiteful, bitter bitching I read every day on Facebook. Reading that crap, you’d think one person was not only responsible for all the world’s problems and the country’s problems, but the personal problems of every individual as well.)
One of the reasons for my optimism is the Truth Social buyout of the a-neutronic fusion company, Tri Alpha Energy. A-neutronic fusion is the generation of unlimited clean energy from plasma, the fourth state of matter. It is the solution to our energy problems, allowing us to bypass the corrupt oil and chemical industries and their inefficiency and pollution of the environment. TAE is siting for its first fusion power plant as I write this.
The TAE buyout is visionary, and a huge step forward for humanity if it comes off. It’s another end run around an immovable, Establishment source of power.
What is clear to me is that Trump is hell-bent on destroying the old, corrupt, bipartisan “rules-based international order,” which allowed powerful elites to maintain their power and wealth while grinding the rest of us into the dust with endless wars and destructive economic policies. Years ago I declared Trump’s function to be a wrecking ball, destroying the filthy old international structure that is nourished by the dark economy of human trafficking, weapons trafficking, and drugs trafficking. Trump’s intention, I believe, is to make way for a better one.
The Big Picture
I don’t feel sad or depressed. As events unfold my intuition tells me a good outcome is inevitable. Because events are proceeding with such rapidity, and there are so many variables, intellectual analysis of human activity on large scales is impossible. Intuition is the only way now to “analyze” where humanity is headed. Those without intuition and a positive outlook are, unfortunately, beginning to lose their minds.
This trend will continue among those on both sides whose hearts are filled with hate.
Love is the universal solvent.
As my friend Maurice says, “It comes down to Trust and to Feeling, because Feeling is how Higher Energy is received, and we are all capable of doing this for ourselves.”
Yup. Behind the current Chaos is the Light, stirring the drink. My gut feeling and my intuition tell me that the Chaos will resolve in a way that is beneficial to the greatest good for the greatest number.
A rising tide lifts all boats. Some will fall out along the way, screaming and flailing. But we can rescue them, if they are willing.
I’ll leave you with this beautiful tune by Ralph Towner, called “Make Someone Happy.”
