The wonderful presenter Lee Caroll channels Kryon, an entity who claims to be a representative of God. When I first encountered channeling almost 50 years ago with the Edgar Cayce material, my inherent skeptical nature rejected it immediately. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cWhat a bunch of bullshit!\u201d I used to tell my sister-in-law, who was really into it. At that time I considered her to be a space cadet. Then I discovered the Ra material in the 1980s. Later on, pioneers in this work like Neale Donald Walsh in his \u201cConversations with God\u201d books made the idea of channeling more publicly acceptable. But I really wasn\u2019t totally convinced until my step-brother Ricky called me one day in 1996 from British Columbia. Ricky rides horses and handles a gun like a frontiersman from the 19th century. He hasn\u2019t yet even entered the 20th century, much less the 21st. He still doesn\u2019t own a computer or a smart phone. I was kind of shocked to hear from him. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cKenny,\u201d he says, \u201cgo on the internet and look up a guy\nnamed Kryon.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cWhat?\u201d I say. \u201cWho is Kryon?\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cJust do it. I don\u2019t have a computer so I can\u2019t tell you\nanything about it.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
That was it. After\nthat he hung up.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Considering I hadn\u2019t talked to Ricky in almost ten years,\nthis was a strange conversation. But there was something in his tone, an\nenergy, that told me I had to do it. This was back in the 1990s when America\nOnline was a big thing, and clicking on images actually linked you to another\nwebpage! Anyway, I went to the Kryon website and read one of the channels. The\nfirst sentence made no sense but it hit me like a ton of bricks: \u201cI am Kryon of\nmagnetic service.\u201d There was an energy there that went right through the\ncomputer screen and it caused a spiritual awakening for me. If you are a\ndead-head or a skeptic (same thing) you won\u2019t get this, you\u2019ll never get it\nuntil you either have an awakening, or you \u201cdie.\u201d But I digress.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
I gradually began to get into the Kryon messages. I began\nmeditating and trying to discover my higher self. I eventually wrote a channeled\nbook myself and did a radio show on Blog Talk Radio for several years called\nthe Interview with Spirit show. In 2005, the day after my father died, I was walking\nalong the dirt road by my house when suddenly he was there. Every day for a\nmonth we\u2019d have a conversation and I wrote them up in a book titled I Love You Dad.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n In November I described a crazy incident that happened to me\nwhile playing disk golf: I encountered a past life incident and went through it\nto a remarkable result. This wasn\u2019t\nsurprising to me because my sister-in-law is head of the Traumatic Incident\nReduction Association. TIR reduces emotional and psychological trauma with a\npowerful and easy to use approach. The point is, doing TIR can lead you to past\nlife incidents. I had already \u201crun\u201d a few of these so I wasn\u2019t surprised (but\nstill amazed) when it happened playing disk golf. <\/p>\n\n\n\n Lee Carroll, during one of his channels of Kryon, says that when a loved one dies a part of their soul stays with you for your entire life. Kryon and I have had lots of arguments about concepts like this when I listen to a Lee Carroll channeling, because my skeptical side is always objecting. It says, \u201cKryon is like the general who sits behind the lines in his air-conditioned office as he sends his fighters (us) to do the dirty work of Spirit.\u201d Kryon says he is a \u201chelper\u201d and we are \u201clightworkers.\u201d My skeptical side says that this is just a justification for a sort of spiritual class society, where one side gets to have all the fun (and experience none of the misery) while the other guys are worker drones here in the physical. As above, so below.<\/p>\n\n\n\n My spiritual side laughs at this.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Kryon is an entity who has never been human; he\u2019s totally,\n100% connected to Source all the time. My intuition loves this and I soak it up\nbecause the energy that comes out of these presentations is so pure and\npowerful. It feels awesome. But Kryon says stuff like \u201cthe spiritual system on\nthis planet is totally benevolent.\u201d And, \u201cThe universe, and the earth, is total\nlove.\u201d <\/p>\n\n\n\n Statements like that drive my skeptical side crazy, for the\nobvious reason that (if you bother to investigate) this planet is dark; it is\nrun by anti-social personalities who have created what David Korten calls an\nEmpire consciousness of exploitation where billions live in poverty and a few\ncontrol most of the wealth. <\/p>\n\n\n\n (Put THAT in your pipe and smoke it Kryon! My skeptical side\nsays.)<\/p>\n\n\n\n My wife has the obvious solution to this dilemma. \u201cDon\u2019t\nlisten to the news. Stay on the bright side, put love and light into the\nforefront of your consciousness.\u201d That\u2019s what she does. And, I know that I volunteered\nto come here, as did everyone else. I\u2019m not a victim. <\/p>\n\n\n\n But I am reminded of what our founding fathers told us in\nthe Federalist Papers: that a free society depends on an informed public. My\nwife studiously avoids current events and knows nothing about the world outside\nher life. Kryon himself recommends that we avoid the news because it\u2019s so\nnegative. But that is counter-productive in my mind. You should be able to\nconfront the dark AND stay in the light. So, because 90% of everything you read\nis propaganda or fake news these days, I feel that I have to investigate. I\ncall it \u201cgetting a baseline reality.\u201d <\/p>\n\n\n\n Handling any problem first requires an ability to face it.\nThat means discovering the elements of the problem. So, I study info from the\nleft and the right. It\u2019s good to know the parameters and the most important\nmemes in the current human consciousness. And that changes, literally, every\nday. <\/p>\n\n\n\n So, to get back to the purpose of this article. Kryon says\nthat when a loved one dies, part of their soul is still with you. I know that\u2019s\ntrue because of what happened in 2005 with my father. Last night it happened\nagain.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Before I tell you about that I have to tell you about the MacLeans,\nan old Scottish clan from the Inner Hebrides on the Isle of Mull. These\nScottish clans constantly fought each other for centuries. The founder of the Clan\nMacLean, it is said, burned down a church with women and children from a rival\nclan in it. The clan apparently descended from \u201cGilleathan Na Tuaidh,\u201d or\nGillean of the Battleaxe. <\/p>\n\n\n\n Yeah. So there\u2019s a bit of karma on the MacLean timeline and\nin the MacLean Akash.<\/p>\n\n\n\n There\u2019s a darkness there. My father had it, felt it, and\nworked with it the best he could during his life. I\u2019ve got it too. Sometimes I\njust get very angry and\/or dark and I have to meditate for an hour or so and send\nas much light into the blackness as I can. It\u2019s why I have listened to a Kryon\nchanneling (or something inspirational) pretty much every day since 2002. <\/p>\n\n\n\n Last night I was feeling that old MacLean darkness just\nbefore I woke up. I remembered what Kryon said about the souls of loved ones\nstaying with you. So I decided to have a conversation with my father and ask\nfor his help. Hell, why not? Even if I\u2019m making it up, maybe it would help. So I\ntried to contact Dad. The first picture I got was Dad sitting on the porch of\nhis house with his head in his hands. He was in bad shape. When this happened\nDad was about the same age as I am now, about 68. My step-brother Ricky was\nthere with his arm around the old man.<\/p>\n\n\n\n \u201cHey, why didn\u2019t you talk to me?\u201d I asked him.<\/p>\n\n\n\n \u201cBecause you have that MacLean darkness too. Ricky was clean\nof it.\u201d Ricky already told me that he had driven from B.C. in Canada to help my\nold man back then, and his mom, who was married to my father at the time.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Then my father showed me how he had dealt with the MacLean\nkarma for most of his life. It was a fascinating energetic run-through of his\nprevious life\u2019s timeline. For some reason, after that, I felt my own depressing\ndarkness go away. <\/p>\n\n\n\n Am I free of the MacLean karma? Probably not, but who knows.\nI do know that if it comes up again I can ask my father for help. <\/p>\n\n\n\n One of the fascinating metaphysical things I\u2019ve discovered is the difference between the Akash of your present life genetic line, and your personal Akash, which includes all the past lives you\u2019ve ever led. In this lifetime I\u2019m mostly Scottish, but I have affinities for everything NOT Scotch. I love Afro-Cuban music, jazz, and have a great affinity for the cultures of India, Latin America, and Africa. This isn\u2019t unusual at all, for there are a lot of old souls with lifetimes in other areas and cultures they live in now. It just shows that metaphysically, life here on earth is a complicated business.<\/p>\n\n\n\n In a time of polarization, disagreeing with someone may get\nyou yelled at, or worse. Is it a crime to go against the prevailing narrative?\nGeorge Orwell wrote about that in 1984<\/em>.\nDisagreeing with Big Brother, even in thought, was a serious offense called\nThoughtcrime. Today, those who think outside the box are often called \u201cconspiracy\ntheorists.\u201d This accusation is a form of Thoughtcrime, for conspiracy theorists\nare considered to be mentally imbalanced, or even insane. <\/p>\n\n\n\n Have I committed a Thoughtcrime by saying that I can talk to my dead father? Materialists would say that I\u2019m crazy, but that makes a lot of \u201cspiritual\u201d people crazy as well.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Interestingly, the New York Times<\/em> has already suggested that that a person who believes in a conspiracy theory may be insane: <\/p>\n\n\n\n \u201cNow, Mr. Comello\u2019s paranoia is being litigated in a Staten Island court, where he is charged with the murder of [mob boss] Mr. Cali, known as Franky Boy.
